Richmond Storm Damage Survey
NXL, a Kleinfelder Company worked as subconsultant to perform maintenance repair on a retaining wall for the City. The client required survey services to be conducted in order to complete the drainage design.
The damaged drainage walls ran along the southern end of Chimborazo Park and were a result of washout from storms. The team conducted a topographic survey of the wall and the area surrounding it. In addition, NXL contacted Miss Utilities to locate and mark existing utilities as part of the survey. Utilizing GPS, our team was able to tie the project to the City of Richmond with horizontal and vertical datum. NXL processed all data and produced Civil 3D drawing files and Digital Terrain Model for design.
