A New Destination
Located just off I-95, Port Covington is situated to become a prime destination for Baltimore residents and commuting workers alike. Once completed, the development will boast an impressive 2.5 miles of renewed waterfront and 40 acres of park space in addition to its millions of square feet of mixed-use development. The possibilities are truly endless for this up-and-coming waterfront neighborhood.
Planning for the Future
Century is the sole designer and engineer for the gas and electric system expansion/reinforcement for the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) at Port Covington. This includes the design and oversight of several dozen new services, as well as dozens of miles of new or reinforced electric and gas service planned for future use. We are pleased to be the prime engineering and design firm developing the new business and electric/gas capacity expansion plans for BGE and the developer.
Lasting Contributions
Century’s involvement in this project is an important contribution to one of the largest urban redevelopment projects in the country, including the development of the new Under Armour®  worldwide headquarters, and one that our team is personally excited about given its backyard proximity to our own headquarters.
