The Allegheny County Department of Public Works contracted Interstate Acquisition Services, a division of Century Engineering, Inc., through design consultant SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc., to provide appraisal, right-of-way acquisition, and relocation assistance services for the Campbells Run Road Improvement Project.
The project involves roadway widening to accommodate the addition of a center turn lane, structure replacements, and intersection improvements over a 1.7 mile stretch of Campbells Run Road between Robinson and Collier Townships in Pennsylvania. Our Pittsburgh office is responsible for appraisal planning, acquisition/negotiation, relocation advisory assistance, and property management services in compliance with the Uniform Relocation and Real Property Acquisition Act.
Right-of-way acquisition services commenced in September of 2017 to include a total of thirty-six impacted parcels. Relocation evaluations and eligibilities have been provided for ten of these parcels. Multiple design changes and updates have occurred since the commencement of acquisition services; however, final design and plan recording was completed in February 2020. Final right-of-way clearance is required by December of 2020 with construction set to begin the following year.
