Studio 3807 is a modern new apartment complex in the Gateway Arts District of Brentwood, MD. The complex totals 257,000 square feet, which includes a two-story below grade parking deck, one story of retail at grade, 3,200 square feet of artist studio space, and seven stories of residential apartments and townhomes above. Century provided MEP design and construction administration services on the project.
Century made use of a dedicated outdoor air system, equipped with energy recovery to provide the ventilation needs for the building. Each unit has its own outside air and exhaust from the central system. Primary conditioning was provided using high efficiency heat pumps. Other sustainable components of the design include low flow, water sense labeled plumbing fixtures, and energy star labeled lighting fixtures. These elements, incorporated into the design Century produced, helped the project obtain LEED Gold®.
