The US 301 South Corridor Transportation Study investigated multi-modal options including light rail, commuter rail, HOV, TDM, TSM and 5 new freeways to address regional mobility problems. The study corridor was 50 miles long and considered land use and transportation issues in five counties.
- LaPlata Study - Identified access control, intersection upgrades and impacts on emergency response times.
- Waldorf Bypass Study - Identified alignments and developed feasible interchange alternatives for right-of-way preservation.
- US 301 / MD 4 - Work included geometric design, environmental impact minimization, cost estimates and project presentation to state, county, and local groups.
