As the Mt. Gretna Sewer Authority Engineer, Century evaluates the sewage transmission and treatment system of the Authority, including the recommendation of upgrades to the 200,000 gpd wastewater treatment plant.  

Century completes Chapter 94 Reports and sanitary sewer system improvements to include replacement of the rotary distributor for the trickling filter, encasement of the sand filter walls in concrete, the construction of enclosures over the sludge drying beds, and installation of an ultraviolet disinfection system.  Century has also worked with municipal personnel to monitor and improve the Authority’s water supply system.

Currently we are working on improvements to the wastewater treatment plant for phosphorus reduction to bring the plant into compliance with the Chesapeake Bay initiatives.
