The purpose of the project was the design of a modern two-lane roundabout that replaced the existing signalized intersection at Taylor Road/Spa Road and West Road and is the anchor for the seven block redevelopment of inner West Street, from Taylor Avenue to Church Circle.
- Traffic and site analysis and urban design.
- Existing retaining walls were deteriorating and were removed and replaced.
- Extensive landscaping and streetscaping design including plantings, ornamental lighting and decorative brickwork.
- Extensive utilities including water and sewer design and telephone and cable relocation coordination.
- Coordinated/facilitated with a Public Design Review Committee and Historic Commission of Annapolis and other local community groups.
- Construction management and on-site construction inspection services.
