Century provides structural engineering services for a wide variety of facilities. Whether for buildings, marine or industrial projects, our staff has the expertise needed to design these types of facilities.

Building experience includes new construction, renovations and adaptive reuse of existing buildings. Typical services include steel, concrete, masonry & wood design, preparation of plans & specifications, bidding and construction support. Representative projects include commercial, retail, institutional, educational, government, Department of Defense, housing, offices, lifecare, healthcare and religious. We also design remedial repairs, provide investigations and forensic services.

Marine structures are unique due to exposure to aggressive environments. We understand these conditions and are able to design facilities to accommodate these effects. We are experienced in the design of piers, wharves, bulkheads, river cells, mooring/breasting dolphins and fendering systems. Many of these facilities include specialized cranes and winches in support of cargo handling operations. We also specialize in evaluation & rehabilitation of deteriorated structures to restore them to a useful condition.

Industrial facilities often contain specialized machinery and equipment for the manufacture of goods and products. We routinely work alongside the Clients plant operations personnel and a material handling equipment vendor to develop designs that are unique and economical. Many projects are phased to allow production to continue during construction. Typical projects include warehousing, loading docks conveyors, material storage, equipment supports, towers and foundations. We also provide foundation design for pre-engineered metal buildings.
