Gettysburg Museum Achieves LEED® Gold Certification

Century Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce our latest LEED® Gold Certified project, The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. This certification marks the first museum in Pennsylvania and only fourth in the nation to achieve LEED® Gold Certification. The Museum & Visitor’s Center is a $95 million world class facility that accommodates approximately two million visitors per year.
Century provided Mechanical Engineering Services including the design of heating, cooling and ventilation systems for the nearly 250,000 SF of visitor galleries, exhibit space, food service areas and theaters in the new Museum, including ground source heat exchange technologies (Geothermal Heating and Cooling System). This system is one of the largest on the East Coast and will help to reduce the annual energy costs of the museum by nearly 50%.
