Baltimore City owns and maintains several water supply reservoirs throughout the City, and nine of the reservoir have earth dam to retain the water. The purpose of this contract was to conduct an investigation for the earth dam portion of the reservoir and prepare rehabilitation design, if needed.  The services provided include a review of the design drawings for the earth dam portion of the reservoir and values that control the water levels, review of maintenance records, subsurface exploration, laboratory testing and slope stability and seepage analysis.  One reservoir required rehabilitation design due to seepage along the toe of the dam and modifications to piping adjacent to the dam.  All analysis and rehabilitation design was submitted to and reviewed by MDE Dam Safety Division.

• Evaluating suitability of borrow soil for dike construction.
