Civic Organizations

As responsible corporate citizens, Century must play its part to give back and contribute to the fabric of each community. As such, Century is active and philanthropically involved in numerous efforts to help our neighbors. From board participation on dozens of regional non-profits, to annual contributions, Century is engaged.

Membership in civic organizations, service clubs, luncheon clubs and charities is encouraged. Beyond our money, our time and talent can help others as well. We encourage each employee to be active for his or her own benefit - and those who they are serving. Some expenses associated with these activities may be reimbursed, and/or the company may sponsor such efforts in balance with the many other requests we receive.

Board Participation:
B&O Railroad Museum, GBCharities, AAA Mid-Atlantic, Vehicles for Change, John Unitas Golden Arm Foundation, Maryland Downtown Development Association, Air Transportation Authority of York County, The Silence of Mary Home, and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Maryland Chapter.

Community and Charitable Involvement:
ACE Mentor Program, Adopt-A-Highway Program, The Arc, Money in Your Pocket Campaign, and the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Department. Additional organizations include: United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, SPCA, Humane Society of Harford County, Uplift Inc., Urban Land Institute, Harrisburg Young Professionals, and Downtown York Inc. Several employees volunteer their time mentoring, tutoring and motivating the youth in their community. In addition, many others offer both service and charitable contributions in support of local schools and area churches.
