This project was a 3-story 150,000 square foot combination Assisted and Independent Living Facility with an Alzheimer's wing. Overall, 95 Independent Living Facility units, 48 Assisted Living Facility units and 21 Alzheimer units were provided. The building amenities also include on-site laundry, bar, salon, fitness center, dining room, kitchen, offices and a maintenance room. Mechanically, the building was served by split systems heat pumps for the common areas, vertical thru the wall units for Independent Living apartments, and horizontal thru the wall units for the Assisted Living units. Energy efficient lighting was used throughout the building including all residential apartments. Project features include:

• Central hot water system for Assisted Living
• Individual hot water heaters for Independent Living
• Emergency generator for elevator and lighting

• Creating a "high-end" environment on minimal budget.
• Developing a calming lighting system to suit the Alzheimer's wing.
