Century provided engineering and land planning support to the Master Planning Team. Services involved analyzing future campus growth on the 100 acre campus with the addition of 58 acres from adjacent land acquisitions.  Condition assessments were conducted of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of the school’s four main buildings totaling over 200,000 square feet.  A site utility assessment was also performed.  Our staff actively participated in multiple design charrettes and presentations throughout the course of this planning effort.  Our findings and recommendations for system improvements were ultimately summarized in a master plan report which included budgetary cost estimates for capital budgeting purposes.

• Significant growth in regional employment and economic base drove rapid growth in projected enrollment such that services and space on the existing campus were insufficient to meet demand.
• Analysis of recently purchased land adjacent to the North East Campus was able to quickly identify opportunities to address expansion needs.
• Creation of Bainbridge Campus near Port Deposit, MD was part of recommendation to establish a presence at the western edge of the community.
• Undeveloped acreage on the existing North East Campus had sensitive environmental and topographical challenges that constrained expansion on campus.
