Harrisburg University is a comprehensive university that now integrates an affiliated high school level preparatory school and business incubator. This new Science and Technology High School and Business Incubator is located in the 72,000 square foot former YWCA building in the center of downtown Harrisburg and houses mainly classroom functions, a full service cafeteria, and academic support facilities. Access to the facility is controlled and monitored by the security access system which incorporates perimeter glass break detectors and interior motion detectors.
Century designed both dry and wet laboratory spaces for the incubator function. With this new incubator facility, the institution can provide education and foster economic development through a seamless transition from high school to university to gainful employment in the technology industry.

Selection of fuel sources for heating and methods for providing the chilled water for cooling was determined through a comprehensive Life Cycle Cost analysis.
